This policy explains what information CoveragePrep ("we", "us") collects when you use coverageprep.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information you enter

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name or email address unless you email us. Your answers to practice questions, your quiz scores and any saved exam progress are stored only in your own browser (using local storage) so that you can pick up where you left off. That data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Numbers you type into our calculators are also processed only in your browser.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running, and we delete them on a rolling basis.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Where required by law (for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland), ads are shown only after you make a choice in a consent message, and you can change that choice at any time.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It collects information such as pages visited, time on page, device type and approximate location. We use this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas or other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Children

This site is intended for adults preparing for professional licensing exams. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to state agencies, exam vendors and other sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date at the top shows the latest revision.
